It’s very well made , makes great popcorn and very sturdy .. not too heavy either . We make popcorn in this at least once a week and have zero complaints .

This is serious cookware, not the light weight thin metal popcorn poppers you are probably used to seeing. The three ply bottom makes a huge difference. We are using this on an induction stove. Induction stoves can heat thin cookware (like most popcorn poppers) too fast, and that can be a bit tricky to avoid overheating and burning things. But this Tramontina popcorn popper distributes heat so well it is a real pleasure to use. All the parts of this popper are well made, and clearly a step way above that average stovetop popper. The first time we used it we were almost giddy at how quickly it popped the corn and that there were only 2 unpopped kernels left. Usually are there are quite a few more as we try to avoid burning the popped kernels. The taste test clinched the deal. The top releases enough steam during popping to keep the kernels crisp. Too much steam can make them tough. I highly recommend this popper. It is a game changer in comparison to the others.
