I've had a number of electric kettles. All previous kettles were more complicated (and more expensive) and failed within a year or two. Fancy glass kettles and kettles with glued in windows for viewing all failed or leaked. This West Bend unit has a one piece stainless liner. No chance it will leak. If the electric element lasts, I expect this kettle should be good.

The lid is attached which makes it harder to clean, but having the lid attached does make it easy to pour. The kettle itself is cordless - to recharge you put it on a plugged in base. It has an auto shutoff to save energy.

It’s stainless steel inside and has a great capacity (7 cups) and heats up quickly. I love how the lid pops open when you push the button on the handle. Very nice quality, definitely recommend this kettle!
