I am not an expert but this has no grooves. This is my second wusthof steel. Would not buy again. In fact I think I will return it

We purchased a 16 piece set of Wusthof knives. We didn’t know what a difference a great knife makes. It has fundamentally transformed our cooking experience!

This is a great hone for keeping my knives ultra sharp! Just a few strokes before or after each heavy use and the edge remains like new. Love it!

My last set of knives were Cutco, and the quality and Blade sharpness of these are far superior. I love them.
