A well balanced knife. Good fit for my large hand handles. Well, extremely sharp, a good everyday vegetable knife for processing.

Excellent knife. My wife is the cook in the house and she has used this knife almost exclusively since I got it for her.

This is a gift for my son. His request. I didn't give this knife nor the other knife I ordered for him as yet. He got a set of Wusthof knives for a wedding present 19 years ago and treats them with care. They are still doing the job. He will love this addition.

I've been wanting a new set of knives for a while and specifically Wusthof bevause they are a huge investment and will last a lifetime. My fiancé kinda liked at me like I was nuts and didn't quite understand my motivation or the investment cost until he used them. To quote him after using the nakiri knife, he said "Babe, I have to admit. . . it cuts like butter. " So, point made and money very well spent!

This knife excels at slicing vegetables. The slightly rounded tip encourages draw cuts, pulling the knife back towards you. The flat geometry discourages rocking motions. The acute angle of the grind allows for paper thin slicing of onions, cucumbers, celery and the like. Be careful of pushing this blade through harder vegetables like carrots. It can be done, and will definitely allow paper thin slices, but repeatedly banging this knife against the cutting board will fold the edge over rather quickly.
