This is a well built, heavy stainless steel ice shaved. It’s not too heavy to manipulate and move off of your counter though. After wiping it down to remove some minor grey dust from factory polishing and finishing, we loaded it up with some regular old school style ice cubes from trays and within 30 seconds and NO effort at all We had a pile of finely shaved ice-or snow. Once it started I was a bit stunned at how easily it devoured the ice cubes and I was left waiting thinking that can’t be it! Beautifully designed, minimal noise and rocket speed production of shaved ice. Easily enough for 25 people in just 2 or 3 minutes if you wanted to. My husband is mechanically inclined, works on Large machinery all day long and even he was impressed. Granted I grew up with the Snoopy hand crank sno-cone maker but hey, this is quite a leap forward. Highly recommend- you won’t be disappointed.
