The glass lid shattered (in my first month of owning it) while I was hand-washing it, I believe it shattered due to the change in temperature. Unfortunately, glass is not covered under warranty and they do not sell the lid separately. I am very disappointed after purchasing such an expensive set.

We bought our set last year and it's as good as the day we bought them! 3 ply with an inner ply of aluminum makes these pots heat fast and consistent. They are relatively easy to clean if you don't burn anything to the bottom. Having the measurments engraved in side the pots is a bonus and the strainer holes in the lids make draining water easy without needing to take the lids off, and food stays in the pot.

"I did a lot of research, and my final conclusion was to buy Zwilling (Henckels). I have finally gotten rid of all my other pots and pans that contained Teflon and other coatings, and it has been such a great change. I love them! They are heavy and high-quality, but not cumbersome. You can really tell they are built to last. That said, you do have to know how to cook with stainless steel. Patience is necessary; you often need to cook at a lower temperature—medium instead of medium-high. You also have to know how to clean them properly. A helpful hint is too use vinegar! I noticed other reviewers complained about stains on their pots and pans, but these are easily removed with the right cleaning process. With proper care, these will last a lifetime.
