I use this caddy to hold a whet stone and it does a great job with the ability to adjust its size to fit over my (or your) sink but I also like it as a "showpiece" in my kitchen. The wood is a great color and it's quite interesting to look at displayed on my kitchen counter. The reason I only gave it three stars however, is that I though it came with a stone. The picture (even shown here) should NOT show a stone because your purchase will not include one. So I received the wood holder and then had to buy a stone separately. This was not totally clear to me and I felt a bit misled, especially given the price. You can get a nice 1000/6000 grit stone online for less than $15. This caddy should include one.

It's fit the sink and held my sharpening stone as advertised though I have yet to actually use it.

Bought this for my son in law who is a knife enthusiast. Loves the bridge, holds the whetstone firmly in place, and the metal shaving go right into the sink. Also likes that he can purchase different grids dependent on what he is looking to accomplish. Great idea!
