I bought the Bunka as a test before buying additional knives. It was such a good value I figured it would be par at best but love the size and maneuverability. Its the mini-me of a chef knife. And its soooo sharp so be careful--

It's pricey. It is worth it. It's the first knife I've had that actually works. Yay.

The balance and weight of this knife are really perfect. It has become my go to Chef knife for any kind of preparation. The K tip is great for detail work. And the sharpness of the blade is fantastic. My only prep prior to using the knife was a quick stropping with 6 µm diamond paste, and then a finishing strop with one micron diamond. Razor sharp great edge retention and a wonderfully balanced knife.
