I purchased these due to the space-saving size for a mid-term cabin rental I own. The dowels and bases are in separate packaging within the box. I used gorilla wood glue to help secure the dowels into the base pieces even though they fit snugly into the base pieces. Because they have not been used, I cannot attest to how well they hold up.
