Initially the price was higher than I had planned to spend. Also, the price seemed at least a little high for the item as described. However, I liked what I saw and decided to try it because the purchase supported a worthy cause. When I removed the item from the box it felt very lightweight I thought it was probably very cheaply made. Then I removed the plastic cover and got a welcome surprise. The color works well for the material used. The artistic detail is exceptional and it is very interesting to look at. The lightweight makes it very easy to hang. It is of good quality and suitable for formal to casual locations. It added a welcome area of interest and worked even better than I had hoped! I had looked for weeks before I set eyes on this item. What a great find, I love it!

I love how it comes out in the middle, giving it some depth.

The name of the item confused me and I should have read the description more thoroughly. I thought this was a wood carving but it is metal. It looks okay in metal but wood have been a great piece in wood.
