I bought 2 of these to cover my 2 couches. I am sensitive to fragrances and wanted something to protect my couches from visitors wearing scented products. I washed the blankets twice using castille soap, knowing I am also sensitive to many chemicals used in textile production. Unfortunately, after I put the blankets on my couches and sat or lay down on the couches, I got really bad headaches. Like so many new textile products, these seem to be off-gassing VOCs. I thought I would be safe ordering from this company. The blankets looked and felt great, but if I can't use them because they are off gassing toxic fumes, neither of those observations matter. I am going to try letting them air out for a long time outside or in the garage, and I plan to keep washing them regularly. I'm hoping that one day they won't give me headaches anymore, and I'll be able to use them to cover my couches.
