Bâton de marche Hound of the Baskervilles

Having foot surgery and this cane is perfect.

This walking cane is beautiful! It's at the right size for me, the iron handle is a solid fit. The wood grain is a nice brown finish. The dogs head is rather large ( great size for my large hands). My dogs head is black rather than grey as shown in the picture. I still like it. Three things I need to say here 1. The ears on the dogs head are rather sharp, so you want to be careful. If you use this walking cane you might hold it with the dogs head facing towards you. 2. If you use this for support, you will want to put on a better rubber tip. 3. The dogs head is a bit heavy and its very solid. Be careful as you can seriously hurt someone if you accidently hit them. Overall, I have had lots of complements on this walking stick.

The stick is at the correct height, and the head is quite heavy. Both of these are good things. The shape & configuration of the head of the stick itself is not ergonomic and makes it almost impossible to acheive a comfortable grip when walking.
