UPDATE: With my experimenting I found out that these battery operated candles do have a timer, but that there is no setting for it. My prior experience with battery operated candles with timers is that they have timer settings that are part of the on/off slider; or, the candles have is a little remote control. My experiment was these pillar candles was to turn one of the candles on to see if it shut off after 5 hours and then turn itself on again the next day. They do. I have changed my review and rating. ORIGINAL: The description of the Battery Operated 3D Wick Flame Mini Pillars (6 piece) stated "Timer: 5 Hours On/19 Hours Off." They do NOT have a timer. They did arrive timely and were in great shape. They did include the batteries. But, what I needed were candles with a timer because they were to be placed in where it is not easily accessible to me.
