I didn't realize that the frosted part was painted on. I use this mirror for my guest bathroom and if they get toothpaste on it, it doesn't come off. If you scrub it, it will remove the paint in that area. It's very nice - just don't use it in a bathroom!

Installation was super easy and this was a really fair priced mirror for a higher end look. I was worried how the frost would look but it looks just like a hotel!
