Holes not drilled correctly. Wood frame shrunk and cracked mirror in half. Mirror not worth price!!!

This was ordered for entry way. However, it was not large enough. Put it in our bedroom. So gorgeous.

I had this piece on my list for a year, finally bought it and regretted it as soon as I opened the box. The color of the stain is NOT as shown in the picture, it's more the color of a cup of black coffee. So, while the carvings go with my mahogany bedroom suit, the color is a complete clash and incredibly disappointing. The second issue is that the screw holes in the back of the mirror's framing pieces were misaligned at manufacture so I actually had to drill other holes so the framing pieces would set level onto the base. At this price level, these issues should never exist. Even getting it on sale at a considerable discount it wasn't worth the price. I have read reviews for other Fleur De Lis Living pieces I considered purchasing and those reviews also echo the design mechanics issue so I won't be purchasing anything from this label in the future. End of experiment!
