[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Mirror Inspired an Entire Bathroom Makeover
We had new flooring installed throughout our hallway, bathroom, and kitchen close to two years ago, but the bathroom itself has pretty much stayed untouched ever since. I just hadn’t come across anything that stood out enough to make me want to commit to a full update.
That changed when I received this mirror.
The very first thing I noticed while taking it out of the box was how substantial it is. It has a nice weight to it, feels extremely sturdy and well built, and the textured wood grain gives the frame so much character. This definitely does not feel like a lightweight or flimsy accent mirror.
My seven-year-old was extremely interested in helping me get it out of the box, which turned unpacking it into a little more of a project than expected 😂, but once I finally got a good look at it, I knew I didn’t want to just find a random wall and hang it.
I moved it around trying to decide where it belonged, and when I finally placed it in our guest bathroom vanity area, everything clicked. It fits the space beautifully, and the warmth and texture of the wood immediately made me start picturing what the entire room could become.
Instead of simply hanging the mirror and calling it done, I’m removing the existing builder-grade mirror and redesigning the bathroom around this one. I already have the paneling for the lower half of the walls, and I’ve ordered the wallpaper that will go above it. I’m planning to paint the paneling a deep blue to pull everything together and really bring out the warmth of the wood frame.
After close to two years of not finding anything that really inspired me to finish updating this bathroom, this mirror ended up being the piece that brought the whole design together.
I’ve also included a couple of design mock-ups showing where the bathroom is headed. The makeover isn’t finished yet, but I already have the lower wall paneling and the wallpaper has been ordered, so this one is officially happening.
It’s beautiful, sturdy, well made, and has enough character to completely change the feel of a space. I honestly wasn’t expecting a mirror to kick-start an entire bathroom makeover, but apparently that’s exactly what happened. 😂
