Although the clock looks nice, the design is horrible and not user friendly at all. First, there is no front, side, or back door to change the batteries, set the time, or turn the chime onoff. Second, when you actually figure out that you have to remove the back glass panel comepletely in order to access the clock, here is where your ordeal begins. This back mirror glass insert is very long, and even though I have cathedral ceilings in my dining room, the hight of the ceiling is not enough to remove the mirror glass, because it can only be removed upwards. So you have to put the clock on its side horizontally and then removed the mirror panel. Then you have to bring it upwards again, attach the pendulum and weights and put it carefully on its side again (because now the pendulum and weights are inside the glass cabinet) to insert the mirror panel. Now you can put the clock where it belongs. But wait, if you want to change the chime, batteries, volume, or the time, you will have to move the clock away from the wall each time you want to do it and remove the back panel as well!!! The person who thought of this design should be fired! Also, after 24 hours, the pendulum started hitting the glass on one side of the cabinet. Unacceptable! Had to return the clock after spending hours setting it up.
