This object arrived broken in transit with no visible damage to outer packaging. Being stone, it must have taken immense mishandling to shatter it. In addition to the obvious break, there were small chips in the edge. Returned. REPLACEMENT REVIEW: I was shipped a free replacement. It is another disappointment. This is painted stone of a quartzlike consistency inside. The replacement has a very obviously artificially restored broken corner, probably done with epoxy and painted The repair was poorly executed and does not match in texture or finish. This piece should have been discarded, not sold. The inner arch details are geometrically imperfect, underfinished, rough, chipped and disappointing. The entire piece is unstable, barely able to stand on its own despite the massive weight and is certain to fall if you experience tremors or even heavy traffic. Maybe I expected too much for my money. I am keeping the second one, too much hassle to return, since I am using it in a photographic diorama and have the requisite skills to conceal, refinish and/or hide its shortcomings, If you, like me, abhor flaws, don't waste your time and money.
