The speaker is not Bluetooth so you'll need an adaptor to use it with your phone, and the power cord can be finicky so you definitely want to put in batteries, but it functions well. Getting a bit more life out of my phone with a broken charging port.

Nothing wrong with the radio, in fact it is an excellent radio in all respects except one. That being the user manual is not user friendly. It is very tedious to set up, that is the reason I give it a three star rating, which is still too high, instead of four stars.
