Serre-livres dorés décoratifs modernes en béton

I Bought to my library, and it’s perfect

I am very happy with the finished product and replacement. Like an earlier reviewer I received book ends that had black stains. My guess is it’s some type of chemical reaction that has happened to other buyers as well. FYI The picture does not due the stain justice. The stain looks much worse in person. As I need a strong, sturdy pair of book ends I asked Wayfair for an exchange. To my surprise they said they would send me a new pair and allowed me to keep the stained pair. And so after that I decided to see what a bottle of gold spray paint would do. I was very pleasantly surprised by the results. Spraying took less than 15 minutes and I think they look great! The spray painted ones do have a lighter finish which doesn’t bother me. I received my replacement book ends and have included a picture of the painted pair along side the replacement pair. As stated above there is a slight color difference. I actually think I prefer the lighter spray painted ones. I’m very happy with how everything turned out and would recommend the book ends with a warning that they may come damaged (but IMO be easily fixed).

I ordered these twice and both times, the quality was poor primarily because of the black spots on the base and top of the bookend. The staining could not be rubbed off and made the productunuseable. Disappointing

The gold of the bookends aren’t as shiny metallic as they appear in the photo. It’s more of a deep brown gold. It’s a nice quality. If you’re trying to compliment surrounding established metallic gold pieces, this isn’t necessarily in the shade range to be side-by-side, is all.

Heavy, sturdy, exactly what I thought they would be!
