This is another Pissarro green landscape. The bridge is nearly hidden from view, but the painting centers on it. I found this painting to be monotonously colored. It is very important to find the right place to hang this print. Seen up close, it is just a blur of blotchy brushstrokes. This print has to be viewed at some distance (what distance will depend on the size you get). As with most Impressionist art, as the viewer steps away from the painting, the perspective appears and one feels transported to the spot where the artist first viewed the scene. I purchased the 35"x47", but I am just not sure where to hang this. The perfect spots are already reserved for my Renoir prints (also purchased from Wayfair). The painting is mounted to a solid, sturdy inner frame. The mounting work was excellent. The way the print wraps around the inner frame makes an outer frame superfluous. The print is stapled to the back of the frame. Every staple is fully embedded with even spacing, keeping the print pulled taut across the frame. We hung similar paintings with Command model plastic picture hanging strips, rated for up to 4 lbs. The product is listed as nearly 11 lbs, but I think that is the shipping weight. In any case, we will use 4 strips so the painting is mounted securely and perfectly flush with the wall. Yet because these strips work like Velcro, the painting can be removed and replaced if need be (e.g. for dusting). The order was shipped promptly and packed securely, so it arrived without damage.
