I bought this to remember my deceased dog because it bears some resemblance especially the attentive expression. I used my dogs collar on the statue which makes me happy. It’s not made from wood but looks like a wood carving. I didn’t want something that intends to look 100% lifelike, rather something impressionist. I’m happy with it

This is by far the most life like dog statue I have ever seen. The package came earlier than expected and was securely packed. This statue looks exactly like a chocolate lab. We set the dog on the floor and our dogs went crazy as soon as they saw it. From afar it really looks like a dog laying on the carpet. This was a great find. I couldn’t be more pleased with this statue.

I ordered the sitting version as well, bilut it arrived broken (wayfair replaced it). This lying dog arrived in perfect condition and is large enough to make a statement. The finish almost looks like metal.
