It's definitely a reasonably sturdy, good looking curtain rod for the price, with a couple caveats:
1) It looks good for faux iron...the specs says Material: Iron, but there's no iron in the product.
The rod is metal, brackets appear to be a good quality resin-like plastic material (that mimics iron).
2) Provided mounting screws that I received are standard silver metal, do not match the Dark Bronze rod ordered. The brackets pictured in the listing photos are misleading, as neither the (mismatched) mounting screws or even the standard screw holes are visible. *My attached photo shows the bracket/screws I received.
3) This rod worked great for the 4 x midweight, lightly lined 83" cotton curtain panels (+28 rings with clips) that I hung on it. It appears to have medium durability. The center rod support is likely not sturdy enough for longer, heavy drapes (like thick velvet.) Lightweight velvet might be fine.
