Fast shipping and well packed. The clock is completely flat. In the pictures, it looks like the "gears" are elevated above the rest of the clock. No huge deal. It still looks nice. It is much lighter weight than I expected, too. The hanger in the pics is NOT how this hangs, with one simple nail or screw. It takes two screws, with sheet rock molly's (included), and those hangers are not equally spaced on the clock frame. One is higher and one is lower. Plan on having two people hang the clock. You probably cannot do it on your own. All in all, it is a nice clock and it looks good from a distance, and it is worth the money I paid.
