[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have been using this as a room divider because there is a hallway light that gets used to go up and down the stairs, but if kids are guests are in the lower area it might wake them up if someone forgets. It also helps buffer noise too so if someone on ine side if the floor is watching something it doesn't echo everywhere. It still allows for a more open floor plan and keeps out the extra light from the top of the entryway
