Although these are blackout shades, light does come through on the sides of the shades. If you want, truly, black out windows, you may need to add curtains to your window. The shade, itself, id a lovely shade of brown. Im not sure if the shade is to go fully up into the metal valance, but the 3rd photo shows how high the shade rolls up. I dont mind it, but nit sure if this is defective or how it is supposed to be.

Took all of 2 minutes to hang, I got the gray color to match, the shade is thick and blocks out light, pulls down and back up very easily, looks so much better then the curtains I had, will be ordering another for window next to this..id definitely recommend! She's sturdy

This is so nice! It was really easy to hang up. It comes with the hardware to hang it. It blocks the sun perfectly. Nice and quiet, goes up nice and easy, and I haven't to fight with it to put up once. I am very happy with my purchase.

The roller blind looks really nice once installed and gives the window a clean, modern appearance. Unfortunately, it arrived with some damaged pieces and was missing hardware, which made installation more difficult and frustrating than it should have been. Once everything was sorted out, the blind looked great and worked as expected. Overall, I like the look and functionality, but the missing and damaged parts kept this from being a 5-star experience.
