I really enjoy these candles. I like to have them on the timer function where they come on around sundown and turn off around bedtime. The little clicking noise sounds similar to the crackle of fire, but not exact. Also the function on the remote for them to act as a steady light and not the flicker candle function doesn't work. The flicker does look real & they are very aesthetically pleasing for a relaxed cozy setting.

These candles definitely flicker realistically - can’t really figure out the magic behind it, but the ‘flame’ wobbles on a little wire. I took off a star because they came with a pretty useless remote control that I would have gladly traded for the first set of batteries.

This 3 pack of candles is just what I need. I'll use them for my Halloween and my upcoming holiday mantel. I like they they can be set on a timer too. Hopefully that will help with the battery life and I won't have to worry about turning the off and on.

I have wanted faux candles that have moving wick flames for everrrr. They do not disappoint! I love them so much! They even reflect onto the ceiling and have movement. They work great. I use them every night.

This three piece candle set does have a realistic flicker, and you also have the option to make it look like a light. I was unable to test the remote as it is very thin and broke as I was removing the battery compartment. It appeared to be glued together. The investment in batteries is also high--three AA for each candle plus a CR20225 for the remote making for a total of 10 batteries.
