Pure perfection! This piece of art is beautifully crafted and comes with the wood it’s carved from (which is not only stabilizing for shipping but a second piece of art)! The natural wood is finished so it is even more gorgeous than I originally thought.

So my SF skyline wall hanging arrived today and I am now confused and disappointed. I pulled it out of the box and I can’t quite figure out how this thing is supposed to work! It seems to be some kind of cut out or press out from the original piece of wood that it is shipped with and attached to, but I can’t figure out how exactly to do it without breaking it. It is extraordinarily thin and yet attached in any number of places to the original piece. Plus, there’s a bunch of bird images above the skyline and I’m not sure if that’s just an extra or if they’re supposed to be attached or part of it. And surprisingly there was no instructions sheet with it. I do not like how very, very thin this is and feel very uncomfortable pressing it out as it feels like it will very easily break. Plus it appears that the ‘black’ is actually burnished wood as it smells heavily of smoke. Overall, not at all impressed.
