It's as described. It's soft, fluffy, 2-ply, weighty, and gorgeous. I got this to keep warm as I'm visiting family during winter, relegated to sleeping on the couch. It came wrapped in plastic, rolled up with the instructions etc..on the outside, and the carrying bag and extra goodie inside. For the price and from the pictures I was concerned the pile would be short and the weight would be measley. It is the exact opposite! The fabric is exceedingly soft, fluffy and has a sheen to it. The weight surprised me. There's even the 'embedded' design on one side of it. It came with no odor or stiffness. The designs on either side are beautiful and eye-catching. I put it to tumble in the dryer as recommended and slept in it last might. The carrying bag included is a strange mix between fabric and plastic, so I'm guessing it'll protect my blankie from odors, moisture, etc while not adhering and sticking to the blanket fibers. Going from a thin, square Sherpa blanket and beach towel, to this was insane. This thing nearly put me in a coma. Cold? Chill? Not on this couch. I was so warm that upon waking up and realizing my shoulder and elbow had been exposed, I didn't even realize that they were cold. I was that cozy. Im gonna find it real hard to be on time for work once I get back home with this behemoth. My only concerns and complaints: • The seams on the hem seem a bit...worrying. I've already noticed a section near the tag that is already undone. • The tag. This is essentially a double sided product. It really irks the peace of my inner home designer to see that one side will have the white blight visible. •Living dangerously with 2-ply. While there is a double ply....they are not adhered together, so they can be moved separately of each other. This added with the scant seams is rather concerning for the longevity of this blanket. All in all I'm pleased with this blanket. It's gorgeous, thick, and super soft.
