Difficult to work with.

Bought this pattern for a project I was doing because it looks like slate. Found this old fireplace heater frame on side of road and wanted to use it for a display at Christmas. It turned out to so good. The wallpaper Was so easy to use because I could apply a d peel off to readjust. I highly recommend this wallpaper for projects other than walls!

I purchased 3 different peel and stick wallpapers from Roommates. I’m in love with the first two, but this one performed differently. Pros: 1) Beautiful pattern and 2) It says straight match but if you don’t mind a little variation, it looks very well done without trying to match the edges at all and you save a lot of paper and $! 3) It has a mixture of cool and warm tones. 4) You can easily reposition it. Neutrals (did not impact my rating because had I not been hasty and purchased a sample first, I would have known and could have avoided): 1) this paper is glossier than the others. I really love the more matte papers that look more luxurious. 2) It has more gray than I’d like in it. Cons: This paper did not perform like the other two. Not sure if it’s because of the glossy paper or it might be thinner…but 1) It creases easily, it’s delicate and scratches more easily. It was even creasing while removing the backing and 2) If you have any imperfections in your wall they will be way more visible with this paper compared to others from Roommates. That said you should prep your walls to avoid this, but I mention this because I did not prep my walls with the other papers and it’s not nearly as noticeable (day and night difference). Also, even when using the cushioned smoothing, tool, wall imperfections will damage the paper. 3) For whatever reason, the backing on this batch of paper did not peel off seamlessly. I had this issue rarely with the other papers but excessively so with this one. If you have some patience, very smooth walls, and don’t mind the gloss then you’ll love this paper. It’s beautiful in person and because you can opt to apply it continuously instead of matching, you could save some money.
