I received my carton of three trees and could not wait to open the box. We owned a different three tree set that literally wore out from use. Right off - color of the trees are just as shown. Definitely the rustic winter farmhouse vibe I was hoping for. Each tree came in its own clear plastic bag. The two smaller trees just need fluffed out a bit. The larger tree comes in two pieces. The top just slips right into a square hole on the bottom half. Done. Easy-peasy!! I love the rough cut burlap on the base of each tree. The “snow” or frost is on thick. The clumps shimmer and sparkle under the light just like frozen ice. (I tried to capture the twinkles in my photo) Two of the tree bases sat perfectly flat on the floor. The base of the tallest tree has a slight bulge in the center which makes the tree wobble. No worries though since this set will be in a corner. The description states you can put lights and decorations on these trees. However, I believe they are perfect just how they are. The graceful downward sweeping branches, covered in snow and tons of sparkly ice, gives a warm and simple elegance to the set. NOW, the instructions do say to put down a cloth when opening…. There is Alot of white snowfrost and glitter that comes off the trees. There is no help for it - I thought about taking the trees into the yard, but not sure if the material is biodegradable or not. In the end, I waited until I needed to vacuum the house before I worked on these. Also, you Need GLOVES. They don’t need to be super thick or anything but will protect your fingers. Some of the ice is sharp and scratchy but not so much so as to cause an issue. The issue I had is the raw cut and SHARP metal sticks that poke out in places. OUCH. Definitely not for children to be playing around. The top of the larger tree has a nice plastic cap made over the point. The two smaller trees - sadly no. Although these trees are very pretty, easy to fluff and to relocate - I feel have to take stars off. 1 for the unusually Huge mess. 1 for the sharp metal stick points. 1 for the wobbly base of the main tree. On a positive note, it was so nice that the manufacturer included a very nice “thank you” note with the product. Overall… I would not purchase again and don’t believe I’d recommend this tree set.
