My blender jar is also leaking, as mentioned in the other reviews. What’s the recommendation. If a replacement jar can be purchased, will it also leak i.e. is the issue a design flaw or a defective production batch.

We usually love our KitchenAid appliances but this is crazy. It looks like the same issue as everyone else here. It's too bad too. I'm just glad we smelled the issue before eating the food with all that gunk in it.

I bought the K400 blender after looking for the perfect blender considering power, aesthetics and functionality. Unfortunately the jar has major functionality issues. A few months ago it started leaking a lot from the bottom and the rubber is off. It also had a burning plastic smell after while I was still able to use it. I never put anything too hard to grind in it. I hoped this would be a life long product, specially for the higher price point compared to other well known brands. I hope KitchenAid can do something about it since this issue has created a major let down.

Unfortunately, it's the same problem with all of them. The motor is the best on the market, but the glass jar is also the worst. The company should do something to fix this problem once and for all. I must say, they did replace my glass jar, but after three months I had the same problem.
