We got this piece for our entryway, which opens up to a small landing, that goes down into the living room on the right, and upstairs to the bedrooms on the right. It's a tall and dark space, with dark wood floors and medium gray walls. This chandelier gives off a warm glow and makes it almost look like candlelight, especially when dimmed.
It does collect cobwebs among the spikes, but these vacuum up easily enough (if you have a long dusting attachment or can lift your stick vacuum up that high). I don't think it would be hard to dust with a pole duster, either.
The finish of the gold is very warm without being overly yellow. We have received compliments from guests and vendors.
I don't know how difficult it was to put together because we had a handy-man install this, but I saw it in the box and it looked like each of the individual spikes needed to be assembled.
I really like the chandelier, but I think the lighting it provides might be too dim for some people of your room is large or dark. I think the shape of my room lends to shadows, and this could maybe be helped by adding other light sources to the room. Maybe then this piece would be better suited for an open dining space or over a kitchen island.
It's quite large, though, so I would consider that if buying in multiples: they could easily overwhelm a space with a lower ceiling.
