Once we got this fan up in our bonus room there was a beige difference. It immediately looked sleek, modern and like it belonged to the room. The old fan was clunky and thick, an eyesore really. I was very pleased with the look, function and quietness; however, the light on the bottom of it is virtually useless. I lost my full room light with the old fan for a visually great looking fan with a night light beam. So sad. It seems a lot of the various newer fans are coming with poor lights. I have others…. So when the in-laws came to stay, I had to bring in another lamp and sort of fill the room with them. Luckily I had them. Your choice, looks for function, I might pay more and find one that has both. Hard to see online what that may be. Good luck
