Well, the assembly was slightly cumbersome than that result as the lamp is exactly what I hoped it would be

This lamp is a wonderful addition to my living room. I don't like harsh, direct lighting so I am enjoying the glow it provides in that corner of the room. I did plug it into a dimmer switch so I can change the mood of the room.

I bought two of these and they create a warm, adjustable glow. I had to return one that was non-functional, which meant a lot of work having to disassemble and re-assemble the new one (I had to give it a few goes before I successfully assembled it - requires a bit of patience). Results are very good.
