The lamp is very nice, but I thought the base was going to be a deeper, golden color. It is quite light in color and I cannot discern what kind of stone it is, if it is stone. The goose neck works very well and it gives good light over my 16" square, hand made walnut and beech end cut wood checkerboard.

What's not to love about this lamp? Its substantial base provides excellent stability, and the flexible neck offers great versatility. The dimming works beautifully, and the touch controls make it a breeze to use.
