I like this lamp. The base is very solid, it stands up well, and it looks nice. I can't in good conscience give it more than two stars for two primary reasons: First, it claims to be glass, but I've never met glass that makes a dead "thud" sound when you tap it. It seems like molded plastic to me. Second, as pointed out in other reviews, it does not have a rotary switch - it has a foot switch. The listing on Wayfiar is blatantly incorrect/false/deceptive, take your pick of adjective. If the listing wasn't deceptive I would probably give this five stars. Just beware of what you are buying.

NOT AS DESCRIBED. I chose this over many other options (several less expensive options) because of the rotary onoff switch at the top of the lamp. The lamp i received does not have this feature. It has a botton that sits on the floor that you have to step on. Idk who came up with this trend but I dont generally keep the camp wires in a place where people step. Its very difficult to get to and now I have to spend even more on a smart plug to turn it off and on.
