I have never been one to change out lamps once I find one that I really like. I may move them around from one room to another but if I liked them initially, I will not want to get rid of them or replace them. Recently, I purchased a rug for my husband’s office and the colors in it are much darker than the previous rug. I did not like the lamp that was on one of the end tables at all, and felt that it did not match the colors in the rug. When I saw this lamp in Tried and True, I fell in love with it. I love the rustic style and the bumpy type texture to it. It’s shiny and I like that better than a dull finish. I also love how it starts out white and gradually changes to brown. It brings such a warm atmosphere to the room. The brown is a very deep brown, and even though there is some black mixed in the rug, it blends so well with the lamp because of the lamp being such a dark brown. The lamp is quite heavy and substantial and I would highly recommend this great quality lamp.
