Plafonnier encastré 1 lumière North Reading

This is a neat looking light but it's a bit flimsy and larger than expected. There are a few design issues that I didn't notice in the product image but it looks alright in the extra bedroom. It was going to be for our hall but the light that it casts is too eerie for the small space~ lots of bouncing shadows. The light for bedside reading is warm and soft though directed in a larger room. Some issues: hiding the plug-in chord; the cellophane/tracing paper/ plastic light "shade" is a bit weak, it bends and moves easily and the marks can be seen from where it was bent; it seems like the bamboo can easily break. Some days I see the fixture and dig it and other days it seems awkward on the wall. It doesn't have longevity or staying power as a house fixture. Would be cool for a dorm room or maybe or a garage hang out, high school kid hang out space. It reminds me of some of the furniture I bought at Target for my first apartment in college.

These look great hanging on both sides of fireplace.

It's adequate for lighting the dark corner where I hung it but it doesn't lie flat against the wall because screws holding the light itself protrude through the back. Plus, because it hangs on a hook (not included) and it weighs very little, it easily moves. Don't hang it where it can get brushed against. I'm not returning it but I wouldn't buy it again.
