This was not my first choice of light fixture. Unfortunately when we removed the 1999 fixture we discovered that there was a huge hole in the drywall behind the backplate. Rather that having to repaint the entire wall after patching the hole, we decided that finding a fixture with a large backplate to cover the repair would be easier. I was worried that the gold color would be bright yellow and clash with the updated brushed gold sink fixture, new hardware, mirror and bath accessories . However… the fixture arrived well package and the color was a soft muted brushed gold that matched perfectly. Installation was very easy and straightforward. I am extremely pleased with the light. (I decided to install it with the shades facing upward. ) It provides a lot of light and is a nice update to to the 1999 bathroom mini makeover.
