First off, it's a sturdy, heavy ceramic lamp. It is also quite large -- particularly the shade, which is a full 17" in diameter. The bummer is that the lamp stem doesn't sit straight in the lucite base, so it leans to the side (see photo). This was the case in BOTH of the 2 lamps we purchased, which leads me to believe it's a manufacturing process defect, not an anamoly. My husband is very handy so he was eventually able to take it apart and straighten it, but if you are the average person without good tools or skills, it would be difficult for you to fix this problem and make them stand straight.

Very pretty lamps. However, you need to feed the cord through the base to screw the socket into the lamp and the body of the lamps sit slightly askew on the base.

Gorgeous lamp. Perfect for the beach. The 3rd lamp i've purchased from Wayfair. The lamp was well packaged and i'm very impressed by the fast delivery.
