I absolutely LOVE this adorable little sconce...it's the perfect decorative piece. The metallic finish is a real brass finish (not some sprayed-on gold paint). I love the little classic detailing. It is petite, but not too small...which I think makes it the ideal size next to a bookcase, or on a shorter span of wall. I recommend it!

These are so pretty in real life. The base itself says it's iron, but I think the brass is plated on because it's not just the sprayed on finish. It looks like real brass. They are just the right amount of shiny vs. aged looking - so beautiful. The shade is very white but I think with a warmer light would be less stark at night.
