It a great floor lamp. It is exactly what we expected. We have a 17 foot ceiling the our great room and wanted not only more light but another "fixture" that would add to the strong, coastal ambiance we had established in our new house. It also turned out that placing a small wine cooler on the lamp's huge (and heavy) base as it sits next to the coastal server unit was perfect. It looks like the cooler and the lamp is one unit and "no" space with just a base showing. Obviously, we love it.

This lamp is one of my favorite pieces in the room. I changed out two of the bulbs for purple led lights, however. The reddish bulbs it comes with are FAR too dungeon-y to me, so for a modern look plan on getting some different bulbs. Its a surprisingly chameleon-like lamp that can look very different depending on the bulbs. The purple ones I use makes gives it a little rock-star flare and a fun vibe at night.

This lamp is a very striking piece. Well made and heavy. You will not need to worry about it turning over. It is very tall and looks great in my 9 foot ceiling family room. It was packaged well and assembled easy. It has felt pads on the bottom, but I still used some heavier felt pads purchased at a home building store to ensure protection of my hardwood floor. I did not use the enclosed 60 watt Edison light bulbs because I wanted to use the max wattage the light allows. I purchased 12 Watt Led Dimmable Edison’s. It definitely lights up the area. It is a little pricey, but it is a quality piece and makes an elegant statement in our room.
