Really, really cool. You can actually lift the bird off the cross bar at any time. He attaches with magnets in his little feet that also lets him swing gently when attached and lit. The electrical current is transferred from the base through the magnetic feet into the light in the bird. My only complaint is the wasteful shipping materials. This light arrived in good condition (the tail is a little bent) but was transported in a HUGE box with a solid block of molded styrofoam taller and wider than the light itself. I would not order again only because of the extremely non-earth-friendly packaging.

Love how it looks BUT when we opened the package ( had been holding until renovations were complete) we found the coating on the floor side of the base rubs off on the floor (not good) and the wire connectors shown on the diagram are not in the box. Calling Wayfair as i shouldn’t need to hire an electrician to assemble it or buy a mat to keep it from ruining my floor!

This is so cute and adds flair to the rooms decor. A nice statement piece for those that want interesting accents. Ambient lighting.

Wish the bird wasn’t plastic. But still cool.
