I purchased these to light the side of a house which is set back and has visibility issues, hoping the lights would provide some much needed light to the side area. They have been a failure on every level. The design of these extremely large lights appears cheap and border on unsightly. The lights are plastic with a faux wood bottom which is extremely faux.The construction looks and feels cheap both from a distance and up close. Additionally, these lights have not worked at all in a northern environment. I have tried them in several locations, where I have functional solar lights, without success. On a design level they are not an attractive addition. They also have not been functional in any area, with multiple battery changes and positioning. I would warn against these lights and would have returned them if it had been possible..
