It was just what I wanted

Very basic lamp, but I love the color scheme, which was a find for me. Tangerine is orangey brown shade with a dark yellow brass base, so it's a soft splash of color that's not too bright and flows nicely with my living room's retro style (pre-war) and the warm earthy colors I have in here. Did not want the standard white lampshade with black base, which is 99% of the lamps on the site. The top tube of the stand was a little hard to pull out to extend the base, so that might be why people are complaining about the height - they probably didn't extend all the way. Don't know anything about the wattage, but a random LED lightbulb I inserted gives enough light to read comfortably a few feet away from the lamp and I very rarely use the overhead fixture now (300 sq ft room), it's just the perfect level for evening relaxation.

Just as advertised. Nice ambient light and the adjustable feature is great.
