I needed four sconces for my living room to re-activate four old ones that had been plastered-over years ago. When renovating my 1928 house I wanted something that was "period" and not too cheap or too expensive. They needed to have an off/on switch which is difficult to find on wired-in lamps. They are controlled by a switch from the LR and also from the upstairs hall plus I can use as many as I need with the individual switch. These lamps are perfect!

Gives great light. Friend installed it quickly and easily. It has an on/off switch which I needed. Only negative is screwing in the lightbulb, the opening is a bit small. My male friend had a hard time doing it, needed smaller hands. It looks good and really brightened the area where I put it.
