The lamp itself is sturdy and the base is heavy but unfortunately, the tray is not. The glass tray has a flimsy brass ring around it that attaches loosely and looks cheap. Also packed in styrofoam balls that cling with static and are impossible to clean up. (See pic)

Don't do it! Defective; the lamp won't turn on. The foot switch is plastic and cheap. Now I have to take it apart and ship it back to Wayfair. It is the 2nd lamp that arrived that was broken. The other was a different type, but still. No more Wayfair. I'm done.

I now have 2 of this floor lamp and they are great! Easy to assemble and good for small spaces.
