The, “twist to lock” the components together should be stronger and more solid. The finial is made of plastic, two pieces snapped together. I learned this when the finial dropped and split in half. The post cap is of such high-quality and I would expect the finial to be the same. It should be solid cast aluminum and powder coated just like the cap.

Installed today, cannot wait to see them at night they were easy to install!

Caps look great , nice finishing touch to my 8x8 cedar posts , I thought they would stay on longer than they are doing only about 5-6 hours ,

Love these. The only beefs I have are that the adapters don’t fit snug to a 6x6 nominal post. They are made of plastic not the metal inserts that come with the other sets I ordered from them. The instructions indicate the lights can be adapted to 3 different size posts depending on how you flip the adapter.

These are well constructed ,fit to a tee just be sure to give them exact or very close measurements
