This lamp is solid and well-made - nothing is plastic or cheap looking. My only complaint is that you cannot move the arm of the lamp in any direction, including up or down the lamp base. Although it appears to have a handle on it, this is just for show. The only adjustable piece is the lamp shade, which tilts lift or right.
